someone told me once that “blink blink” is cat for “I love you”

I’m sure this is total bullshit but i choose to believe it.

#ACTUALLY NOT AS BULLSHIT AS ONE MIGHT THINK!!!! #like most animals cats do not close their eyes when they are in a state of fear or anxiety - or hunting #so when your cat stares at you and slowly blinks that means it’s comfortable and doesn’t see you as a threat #so a blinking cat means they trust you #:3

I heard this a long while ago and sometimes I stare at my cat and then blink at him. Just in case he doesn’t understand when I say I love him out loud.

Oh it definitely is. My cats and I blink lovingly at each other all the time. Sometimes I’ve caught myself almost doing it to people.
